Zimbabwe’s ever travelling President Robert Mugabe arrived into the country yesterday and took off towards Singapore early today.
But ended his journey in Port Louis, Mauritius.
This makes it four foreign trips in less than three weeks.
He is expected to join other heads of state and government, captains of industry and intellectuals for the inaugural African Economic Platform (AEP).
President Mugabe was welcomed at Ramgulan International Airport by local officials.
The AEP Summit, which kicks off this Monday will be focusing on economic transformation and integration on the continent.
As he disembarked from his plane, President Mugabe inspected a guard honour mounted to honour and acknowledge his presence, before proceeding into a VVIP lounge where the two leaders had a brief conversation.
President Mugabe’s delegation is comprised of Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, Mike Bimha and his aide Mr George Charamba.
Mugabe has come under fire for his expensive and pointless trips that he rarely participates in as he has been filmed sleeping during important indabas on many occasions.
