SOUTH AFRICA: The battle between Robert Mugabe, Grace Mugabe and axed Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa continues to get more heated by the day. With Mnangagwa now in hiding out of the country, he has vowed to remove the first family from power.
A statement from the now South Africa based Mnangagwa, has labelled the Mugabes “residents of the past”. He also claimed the family were hindering the progress of Zimbabweans. Hmm, who would have thought?
“I will go nowhere. I will fight tooth and nail against those making a mockery of Zanu PF’s founding principles, ethos and values,” the former VP declared yesterday.
“You (Mugabe) and your cohorts will, instead, leave Zanu PF by the will of the people and this, we will do in the coming few weeks as Zimbabweans in general now require new and progressive leadership that is not resident in the past and refuses to accept change.”
Mnangagwa insisted that he will soon be back in Zimbabwe to lead the people. He did not go into specifics of how he will get rid of the Mugabes, though.
He also made a plea for Zimbabweans and Zanu PF members to say “no to demigods and people that are self-centered”.
Mnangagwa is set to hold a press conference next week, maybe then will we get some more details on how he plans to oust the man who loves power. agencies
