Bulawayo ZANU PF Provincial Chairman Professor Calistus Ndlovu has died.

Ndlovu is known for defecting from the Central Committee position of ZAPU to join ZANU PF in 1984 after calling ZAPU a dead donkey and saying anyone who thinks the Party can run the affairs of the country is whistling in the graveyard.

Ndlovu is one of the government officials who were allegedly given preference in buying vehicles at the Willowvale Motor Industries at discounted prices and re-selling them at very inflated prices. The scandal triggered further investigations that implicated four top government officials. One of them Morris Nyagumbo committed suicide.
