President Emmerson Mnangagwa has flown to Ethiopia (Addis Ababa) where other dignitaries and heads of states are gathered for the African Union Summit and this year they will be focusing on refugees and internally displaced persons.
Mnangagwa was forced not to attend the breakfast prayer meeting which was held yesterday at the Harare International Conference Centre and alternatively send the Defence Minister Oppah Muchinguri to represent him.
It is also reported that Vice President Constantino Chiwenga was flown to India yesterday by a private jet for medical attention as he was forced to abandon his treatment in South Africa due to the protests that took place earlier this week in Cape Town.
Chiwenga attended the Cabinet on Tuesday which he said he was fit and accused the media of wishing him dead in an interview with ZBC. Chiwenga said publicly that he was poisoned by the former President, Robert Gabriel Mugabe in 2017 for leading a military coup which overthrew Mugabe.
