Zimbabwean socialite and comedian Felistas Murata, known as Mai Tt, has stirred speculation about her pregnancy after sharing recent pictures on social media. The images display what appears to be a slight baby bump, prompting some of her fans to speculate that she may be expecting.
Mai Tt, who is also a recording artist and an activist for HIV/AIDS rights, has neither confirmed nor denied the rumors.
Among her followers, some offered congratulations on the potential pregnancy, while others suggested it might be a normal tummy. Additionally, there was curiosity about the identity of the baby’s father, considering Mai Tt’s tumultuous marital history.
Mai Tt tied the knot with Tinashe Maphosa, who resides in the US, in April 2022. Their extravagant wedding ceremony featured a performance by South African singer Kelly Khumalo and was hailed as “the wedding of all times in the country.”
However, their marriage encountered difficulties less than four months later. Mai Tt made several allegations against her husband, asserting that he failed to contribute to the wedding expenses. She also accused him of being a habitual liar, an abusive individual, and a criminal who misused her name for borrowing money.
In response, Maphosa filed a defamation lawsuit against Mai Tt, seeking US$250,000 (R4.5 million) in damages, claiming that her reckless statements had tarnished his reputation. Mai Tt vehemently retaliated on social media, employing strong language and demanding her money back.
The legal dispute between the estranged couple is still ongoing, and it remains unclear whether they have officially divorced. Mai Tt has not disclosed if she is dating someone new or has moved on from Maphosa.
If Mai Tt is indeed pregnant, it would be her third child. She already has two beautiful daughters from previous relationships. The gender and due date of the rumored baby have not been disclosed.
Mai Tt has refrained from making further comments about the pregnancy rumors, leaving her fans in suspense. Regardless of whether she is expecting or not, we extend our best wishes to her in her personal and professional endeavors.
