On Friday evening, Jah Prayzah, also known as Mukudzeyi Mukombe, hosted an impressive launch event for his 12th album, “Chiremerera,” at the Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare.

The festivities commenced with Jah Prayzah’s mother officially introducing the album, joined on stage by his wife and uncle, who have played influential roles in his musical journey.

As Jah Prayzah took the spotlight, he captivated the audience with enthralling renditions of his well-known songs, including the album’s title track, “Chiremerera.” The crowd enthusiastically danced and cheered throughout the night, uplifted by the vibrant performances of Feli Nandi and Baba Harare, who also graced the stage.

Building on the success of the “Chiremerera” launch, the talented musician is preparing to unveil his 13th album, “Maita Baba” (meaning “Thank You Father”), the following Saturday at Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.

Before the album releases, Jah Prayzah treated fans to the single “Sarungano,” featuring Feli Nandi (Felistas Chipendo), accompanied by a captivating music video.

Jah Prayzah’s achievement of launching two albums simultaneously is a remarkable feat, previously accomplished only by the late Leonard Dembo. Dembo, a renowned musician, delighted audiences in 1987 with the albums “Sharai” and “Kuziya Mbuya Huudzwa,” and later in 1994, he presented the world with two exceptional masterpieces, “Paw Paw” and “Nzungu Ndamenya.”
