Invictus Energy’s oil and gas exploration project in Muzarabani is progressing well, with the latest compositional analysis confirming the presence of light oil and gas condensate at the Mukuyu Well 1.
Helium content has also been discovered, consistent with expected ratios from global commercial producers, indicating the economic potential of the Muzarabani basin.
According to Invictus Energy Managing Director, Mr Scott Macmillan, the mud gas compositional analysis has definitively proven the presence of hydrocarbons in multiple reservoir pay zones at Mukuyu 1.
The natural gas samples exhibit high-quality composition with low inert content containing less than 1 percent carbon dioxide.
This discovery of commercially viable oil and gas is a positive development for Zimbabwe’s economic development matrix, as energy is a key enabler of economic activities.
