Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Minister, Cde Ziyambi Ziyambi says Zimbabweans should give government time to prove its ability to turn around the economy rather than judge it prematurely.

Addressing Zanu PF supporters at Sabina Mugabe school during victory celebrations for Zvimba South legislator, Cde Phillip Chiyangwa who won the parliamentary seat in last year’s harmonised elections, Cde Ziyambi rallied the nation to be patient.

“It is improper to expect positive results in the economy when the new administration is only a few months in power. What we are saying is that give the government time to implement its policies and economic turnaround strategies as enunciated by our Finance Minister, Professor Mthuli Ncube,” he said.

Cde Ziyambi also deplored the culture of violence whose ugly face was evident in the mid-January disturbances where hooligans looted goods and destroyed property.

Cde Chiyangwa told his constituency that he will use his tenure to promote a culture of entrepreneurship among them in order to alleviate poverty.
