FRANK Johnson Primary School yesterday ended lessons at break time after a jackal was spotted in the school’s yard.

The jackal was spotted by a security guard, a teacher and groundsman at the school located in Waterfalls, Harare.

The headmaster instructed teachers to take their students into the school hall while the police were called in.

Parents were also called in to collect their children.

Police and ZimParks wardens responded quickly to the SOS, but the jackal could not be found.

“The jackal just disappeared mysteriously and we are now suspecting that it could be associated with witchcraft,” said one of the teachers.

“Three adults saw it, but seven ZimParks wardens patrolled the whole school yard and never saw it. “We are so frightened because we are not sure where it went to.”

Another teacher added:

“Guard ariwona gava iri richipinda adzimaidzwa zvekuti takutofungira huroyi pagava iri.

“Ariwona richipinda asi angoita seakadhakwa kwakuzotaura ratove kuma grounds,” said another teacher.
