Dr Nandipha files an urgent application to declare her arrest in Tanzania unlawful
A leaked video shows the moment in which Bester escaped from Mangaung Correctional Services dressed in G4S Attire.
According to a post by eNCA’s Annika Larsen, he escaped at 2:59 am on 3 May 2022.
Bester escaped from the Bloemfontein prison after faking his death. He, along with his partner Dr Nandipha and six others have so far been arrested and charged in connection with the escape. According to police, more arrests are imminent.

The couple appeared virtually before the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court recently. Bester appeared from the Kgosi Mampuru Prison in Pretoria while his lover, Magudumana appeared from Kroonstad Prison, where she is being held.
Magudumana’s father Xolile Sekeleni and six other co-accused appeared physically at the Bloemfontein Magistrates’ Court. Magudumana’s legal representative, Advocate Frans Dlamini, had previously requested her bail application to be reserved due to the emergence of “crucial evidence”, which has prompted the need for further investigation.
She has since filed an urgent application with the Free State High Court to declare her arrest in Tanzania unlawful.
